# Privacy Policy for Chrono Notes

This Privacy Policy describes how Chrono Notes ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application.

## Summary

Chrono Notes is a note-taking and countdown timer app. It does not require an account, does not collect or transmit your notes anywhere, and does not knowingly collect personal information from you directly. The App does display advertising through Google AdMob, which is described in detail below.

## Information We Collect

Notes and timer data. Any notes you write and any timer presets you create are stored **locally on your device only**, using your device's standard app storage. We do not have access to this content, it is never transmitted to us or to any server, and it is not backed up to any account. If you delete the App, this data is deleted along with it.

Information collected by advertising. The App displays ads served by Google AdMob. To operate, AdMob and its partners may collect and process:
- Advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Android's Advertising ID)
- General device information (device type, operating system version, language, general/coarse location derived from IP address)
- App usage and interaction data related to ads shown

On iOS, the App requests your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before any identifier is used for ad tracking purposes. You can change this permission at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, you can manage ad personalization through your Google Account's Ad Settings, and reset or opt out of the advertising identifier through your device's Google Settings app.

## Children's Privacy

Chrono Notes is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate steps to address it.

## Data Security

Because your notes and settings are stored only on your own device, their security depends on your device's own security (passcode, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a passcode or biometric lock.

## Your Choices

- You can clear or delete any note at any time from within the App.
- You can control ad tracking permissions through your device's system settings, as described above.
- You can uninstall the App at any time, which removes all locally stored data.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
